Woman Who Shot Ex Officer Freed

Naomi Shint of Kansas City was paroled after an executive clemency hearing at Baxter County. She had been convicted for the fatal shooting of Francis Hollman at a Bull Shoals Lake fishing camp in June 1960. The board also approved 73 other paroles and recommended clemency for three convicts.

Bentis Shot to Death at Spa

Hot Springs Arkansas AP reports 65 year old dentist Olls Howell was fatally shot at his home Wednesday night and died early today. Authorities say he was hit by a single 4% automatic pistol shot. Howell's wife Alberta and another dentist Whit Terrell, also 65, were held on an open charge as the investigation continues.
