Seaweed venture funds a European trip for Bermuda boys
Twenty Hamilton Junior Greens football club members from Bermuda plan a four week tour of Europe with a budget near 10 000 dollars. They will visit Great Britain for the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh as spectators and hope to play youth clubs in Scotland. The group also aims to visit Scandinavia Germany and Scotland before continuing to Norway and Denmark. To fund the trip they market seaweed fertiliser bagged in 70 pound loads and sold at about 1 dollar per bag, alongside a March fair and other odd jobs.
