Equipment moved in for the Bois d Arc Banting preserve, an undertaking of the Game and Fish Commission, with Dale Bonds in charge. The plan aims to have the duck hunting area ready for this season, while the 500 acre fishing lake may take about a year. A five to six mile levee will run beside the creek, with water spread over much of 6,000 to 7,000 acres during duck season and drained afterward. The 50 acre lake is planned on Ricold Boyett's south end, potentially 15 feet deep, stocked, and open to the public for year round fishing.
