Lipiec Resigns as Head Trainer After Blacksmith Strike
In Miami on March 27, Stanley Lipiec who trained 127 winners in 1945 resigned as head trainer for Mrs. Hollie Wolf’s stables after blacksmiths boycotted and refused to shoe horses Lipiec handled. He may go to Mexico or South America. Tommy Root, a former jockey, is considered as successor.
