Dismissal Ruling Likely In Berrigan Conspiracy Trial
In Harrisburg the conspiracy trial of Rev. Philip Berrigan and six others resumes with a pending motion for dismissal as prosecutors and defense rest. Palm Sunday march draws 400 to 700 peace demonstrators, some in death masks, despite blue skies and 40 degree wind. Defendants include Rev. Neil McLoughlin and Rev. Joseph Wenderoth. Berrigan remains jailed on a six year sentence for destroying draft records. The nine week trial could go to the jury by midweek.
