Denial Clears Mindzenly Talks with Hungary

Washington officials rejected reports that Hungary and the United States are negotiating over Cardinal Mindszenty's fate. A Hungarian spokesman claimed diplomatic talks were under way while the U.S. said no negotiations exist between the two governments. Mindszenty took refuge in the U.S. legation in Budapest in 1956 during a Soviet crackdown and remains a symbol of anti-Communism.

Arkansas Highway Move Eyed For Capitol Site

The Arkansas Highway Commission will estimate the cost of moving its headquarters from the capitol grounds to a site southwest of Little Rock at its April 24 meeting. Director F R Oliver noted the move hinges on cost, potentially a million-dollar scale, with the current plan to relocate to a site near the Mahelvale east interchange of Interstate 70. The purchase of the present building by the Education Department for 400000 cleared legislative path, but financing has blocked progress until a price estimate is set.
