Mediation on Panama Is Failure
The U S Panamanian dispute mediation by the OAS special commission was abandoned after meetings in Washington. Chairman Juan Plate of Paraguay cited frustration of the commission. President Johnson’s Monday remarks suggested no immediate mind meeting, delaying any diplomatic move.

She plans a 90 days or less trip in a single-engine Cessna, first stopping in Bermuda with many ports ahead including Azores, Casablanca, Cairo, Bombay, Singapore, Manila, Guam, Wake, and Honolulu. She studied aeronautical engineering at Ohio State, has 750 flight hours, a pilot’s license, and has planned the trip for a year.
