An American military appeals court in Wiesbaden cut to five years the 20 year term for Wilma Ybarbo who shot her husband Staff Sergeant John Ybarbo. The ruling held she was not bound by military law and also reduced a German law sentence to five years. The decision cited long cruelty in the marriage as context for the fatal act.
