Fate of Ruby Is Now in Hands of Jury
Dr. Frederick A. Gibbs, Chicago epilepsy expert, testified in Jack Ruby’s murder trial that Ruby has a rare type of epilepsy not always producing seizures. Gibbs said he voluntarily traveled to Dallas to testify as other medical witnesses dispute his interpretation of Ruby’s brain wave tests. The defense sought to present Gibbs’ findings, while the prosecution fought to keep them from the jury as the case nears its fourth week.
