Alleged Oil Thefts Debated by Texas Oil Group
Fort Worth directors of the Texas Oil and Gas Conservation Association condemned alleged oil thefts and fraud against landowners in East Texas. They pledged support to authorities, backed a railroad survey to check equitable provation and waste, and endorsed federal excise tax on foreign oils and a manufacturers sales tax. The meeting, led by J R Pearson and E L Smith, also urged state action against gasoline evasion. The report notes a separate Montana death toll comparison and stray references to a baggage case.
