Prisoner Delivered After Escape From Dade County Jail
On February eight the prisoner was brought to Shelby county jail by Deputy Marshal Jack Peeples and Guard W F Better of Miami. Anderson was arrested in Miami with two women and Clyde M Jahngat, Johnson escaped from the Dade County Flat last Tuesday morning and is being sought by federal authorities. A warrant has been issued for Billie Frances Glazer for involvement in Johnson escape. The two women, Mrs Vienn Anderson and Mrs Mabel Elizabeth Scroggins, dressed with Anderson and Johnson, will be returned to Memphis. They began their trip Saturday morning at 2 o clock to prevent any Confederate retaliation.
