Bennett Eyes Possible Run For Arkansas Governor
Former Arkansas attorney general Bruce Bennett, 50, of El Dorado, a 1960 Democratic gubernatorial candidate, says his chances look excellent for another bid this summer. He plans to contact friends in March and decide by month’s end after a ongoing campaign in state and at Little Rock. He previously served as attorney general 1956-60 and was reelected in 1962 and 1964. Bennett now practices law in El Dorado and Little Rock.
