Land subsidies and government fit in national policy
A study of federal land programs and the Proving Ground impact explores how government subsidies to private industry and land acquisition have shaped the economy. It notes court outcomes near Camp Robinson, traces rail grants, and argues that no completely free enterprise system exists without some government meddling, citing historical acts and policy shifts.

Postal warning urges exact addresses in Hope Ark city
Postmaster Robert M. Wilson cautions merchants and banks in Hope Arkansas to add street or post office box numbers to mailing lists as the city grows. With about 15 000 residents and many duplicates, the old Hope Ark address is no longer sufficient for proper delivery. Postal regulations require local addresses on bulk mail and warn against using general delivery. Merchants can obtain addresses via directories or the post office for a fee, and the post office will assist with lists but much work should be done locally. The shift marks Hope's move from village to war plant city, increasing mail volume and the risk of dead letters if addresses remain vague.
