In Vicksburg on June 14 in the Municipal Auditorium three former Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers staff were inducted into the Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees. Russell C. Baker, Thomas J. Carter Jr., and Raymond W. Sauer were honored for long service spanning 1927 to 1971. Sauer also served as District Engineer during World War II. Carter is brother in law of Mrs Albert Graves of Hope.
