Demo committee victory over Daley forces in DNC rules
The Democratic National Committee won a crucial constitutional clash in Washington overturning a district court ruling that barred a minority balance rule for convention delegations. The ruling supports proportional representation by race age and sex and could unseat some Daley aligned Chicago delegates as the Credentials Committee prepares to begin deliberations. The decision affects about 1,100 delegates and emerged as a major reform victory. Separately Brooklyn Museum received a $10000 grant from the van Ameringen Foundation to support its summer education program.
