Millwood Dam Debate Nears Army Report This Week
The Army Corps of Engineers board for Rivers and Harbors in Washington D C will issue its recommendation on the Millwood dam project along Little River Arkansas after hearings on upstream versus downstream designs. The Southwest Arkansas Water District, including Texarkana Ashdown and Hope, pushes for a real reservoir with municipal industrial and agricultural use while favoring upstream dams.
