Trucks Collide on Third Street Injures Driver
A Southwestern Bell Telephone truck driven by Rudy K. Shuffield of Hot Springs and a Dallasbound transport truck driven by John Rowan Anderson collided on Third Street. Shuffield received treatment for injuries at a local hospital but was not believed to be seriously hurt. Dempsey Floyd, a passenger, and Anderson were uninjured. City officers said the small truck turned into a drive-in as the larger truck attempted to pass. The telephone truck overturned. Anderson was charged with improper passing.
