Head Start Program Returns to County Schools This Summer
The Head Start program will operate again in local schools from June 2 to August 4. It is federally funded and will run daily 8:30 a.m. to 12:39 p.m. at Brookewood and Garland elementaries with lunch and transportation provided. 10 Killed as USS Liberty Attacked Near Sinai
The battered USS Liberty was to rendezvous with two U.S. destroyers from the 6th Fleet for medical aid after a surprise attack by Israeli boats and planes near the Sinai Peninsula.
