Storms and thunderstorms swept the central Plains to the Ohio Valley as dozens of tornadoes formed Monday. The National Weather Service logged 36 tornadoes with damage estimates up to $200,000 in St. Peters Missouri where about 30 homes were damaged but no injuries were reported. Downed lines and uprooted trees were widespread.
