Farmer doubles sheep pen capacity with hurdle shifts
On Page One a farmer reasons that moving hurdles in his sheep pen can double capacity by widening the enclosure. By adding one hurdle at each end the space expands, and moving twice as far with two more hurdles at each end yields twice the original space, requiring four additional hurdles to fit 100 extra sheep. An international agreement limits exhibitions to once every six years, with the next allowed in 1941.
