From Adell Stevenson to Sanford and Son writer Tsunga Ilunga
Tsunga Ilunga recounts his route from Memphis to acting and scriptwriting. After quitting college and adopting an African name, he sold his first Sanford and Son script, crediting luck and a chance photo for his breakthrough. He defends the show as part of the black experience and notes its social undercurrents amid comedy. The Alwin Ailey City Center Dance Theater plans a London run and Teheran and Lebanon engagements before a U.S. tour and New York season.
