Edgewood and Walker Street Plans Spark Hope City Protest
A group of property owners on East Second and Edgewood streets oppose the Missouri Pacific Railway overpass plan linking Interstate 30 to Highway 29. They warn the bridge would block East Second, disrupt schools and vital services, and split the town, urging a by pass via Highway 67 and I-30 instead. The note frames 1 30 as a bypass and calls for a united community response to the proposed routes Edgewood and Walker Street.
