The Oil and Gas Commission ordered a reduction in the Haynesville Field production allowable effective August 1. The new limit is 1,380 barrels per day, down from 1,742. The decision followed a public hearing.
In late dealings New York cotton futures sagged amid light hedging and uneven demand. Prices closed down about 5 to 30 cents a bale from the previous close with varied highs and lows across the session.
