The Farm Security Administration will issue 300 farm ownership loans in Arkansas under the Bankhead Jones tenant purchase measure for the fiscal year starting July 1. Secretary Wallace added 31 new counties to participate and approved additional loans in counties that took part last year, with about 10 loans per new county and enough in old counties to reach a total of 10 per county. The $1,218,000 Arkansas fund from the $25,000,000 appropriation targets carefully selected farm tenant families unable to borrow for farm ownership.
