Religion forces set up operations in Miami

An unprecedented interdenominational operation by 350 volunteers backs peacekeeping at the Democratic and Republican conventions in Miami. The effort, led by Rev. Jack Cassidy of RCLC, aims to prevent confrontations, scotch rumors, and maintain orderly demonstrations while remaining neutral. Backed nationally by NCC, U.S. Catholic Conference, and Synagogue Council, the team will monitor campsites and the convention hall and serve as liaison for mediation if needed.
