New Fire Station At Morrilton Under Way
Conway County officials say a new central fire station and equipment for the Conway County Fire Department will be in operation by mid November. The project costs 130000, funded 45000 from 1974 federal revenue sharing and the rest from gifts and county funds. The apparatus includes a mini attack truck a 750 gallon per minute pumper rescue unit a boat motor trailer and radio gear. The department operates separately from the city fire department. Alan Arterbury 24 of New Orleans killed on duty as a policeman July 4. He was a Baptist and son of James and Mrs. Arterbury Narco formerly Bodcaw. Survivors include wife Syl and sisters Gail Morgan Phyllis Arterbury. Services 10 a m Saturday at Alexandria Funeral Home Narco.

Double slaying at Memphis print shop shocks city
Three men, aged 25 to 30, are sought in a Memphis print shop killings case that left Arthur Brown Jr. 49 dead and Deborah Parker 18 beaten to death. A wartime employee, Robert Wright, 28, says he was kidnapped and forced to call Brown to bring a woman to the address. The victims were placed in a bright yellow luxury car and partially burned in the Riverside Drive area near Deakins Typesetting Service. Brown had a wartime arrest record and worked as a booking agent for musical groups. Miss Porter was a student at Le Moyne-Owen College.
