Page Ten Would Expand Educational Television
Frank Pace, chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, said Arkansas has not remotely tested educational television and should move forward. John Macy Jr. and Pace were introduced with Lee Reeves, director of ETV in Arkansas, at a news conference by Rep. Wilbur D. Mills. Reeves said the system reaches about 50 percent of the population, with expansion to all of Arkansas estimated to cost about $855,000. Pace added that educational television is well suited to Arkansas, offering opportunities to those unreachable by brick and mortar investment.
