Oldsmobile 1952 line debuts with styling and power boosts
Major 1952 Oldsmobile changes roll out in dealerships nationwide. Three series 98 Super 88 and Deluxe 88 get the Rocket engine upgrades to 160 hp on the Super 88 with Quadri Jet carburetion and heavier crankshaft. Hydraulic steering adds ease, rear stabilizer improves handling, and interiors gain richer upholstery and color harmonies. Montevideo, Uruguay earns its name from a Magellan lookout cry “Montevideo I see a hill.”
