Wirges Guilty in Yell County Conspiracy Case
Gene Wirges found guilty by a Yell County Circuit Court jury of conspiracy to have Sheriff Marion Hawkins falsely arrested. Sentenced to four months in prison and a $250 fine. Wirges to appeal and plans further Conway County investigations. Hawkins testified along with 12 others. Wirges was the sole defense witness.
