New Farm Plan Favors Two Price System and Open Export
Senatorial allies propose a two price farm bill to replace the AAA. Domestic crop price would cover cost of production, set by the Secretary of Agriculture, with dealers paying that cost. Export crops would be warehoused and sold abroad, with receipts issued to farmers. Critics call it dumping and warn of repeated failures in similar schemes.
