Farm Income Decline in 56 Predicted by Official
LITTLE ROCK W American farmers face another year of declining income in 1956 says QO. W. Wells administrator of the Agriculture Marketing Service. He told the opening session of the 3rd annual Agriculture Credit Conference that net income will be somewhat lower this year. Wells predicted farm prices should remain stable though much of the nation will see a similar situation to 1956. He cited the soil bank plan as a potential brighter outlook for future years. About 200 bankers from Arkansas and surrounding states attended the conference.
