Powell Case to Get Full Court Hearing
The Supreme Court moved Powell’s appeal of his House ouster to a full hearing with each side set for at least an hour. Powell claims the ouster was arbitrary and unconstitutional, risking back pay and seniority if successful. He later faced a $25,000 fine for alleged public funds misuse amid a separate reelection and seating. A separate note states a maple tree yields far less syrup than sap.
