Plastics talk highlights Tolber plant work for Hope Lions

Donald Mushtare, Tolber Corporation director, spoke on plastics industry at the Hope Lions Club luncheon. He displayed items from the focal plant including protective coatings, molded step treads, water ski fittings, shoe soles, infant wear pieces, and slipper socks made on automated Texas machines. New members Warren Plyler and Bobby Webb were inducted. Rev. Gordon Renshaw urged support for Operation Drug Alert with available books, tapes, and films.

Malvern Approves $4 Million Bond Issue

Malvern Arkansas voters approved a $4 million Act 9 bond issue to fund remodeling of a building and equipment for International Technovation Inc. to locate a plant in Malvern. The vote was 461 to 19. The firm makes plastic packaging products and the plant is expected to begin operation about ten months from now, mainly producing EpG Warltis.

Farmers Feel Out in Cotton Subsidy

Fresno officials report large cotton growers may rent allotments to smaller farmers to cut losses from a new $55,000 subsidy cap.
