Bar Group Files Copy of Charge Against Judge Maner
The Arkansas Bar Rules Commission filed a copy of its hearing on charges against Circuit Judge Ernest Maner with the state Supreme Court. Attorney Kenneth Coffelt asked for Maner’s disbarment alleging he took protection money from Charles Womack, a self-styled Bent gambler. A Saline County Grand Jury recently absolved Maner and indicted Womack on a gambling charge. Maner then filed contempt charges against Coffelt and recused himself from the Benton case.
