Restored Arms Are Lost Again
Brent Gray the one year old Henrietta Texas boy who lost both arms in a farm accident and had them reimplanted, lost his second arm today. An Oklahoma City hospital spokesman said the right arm was amputated below the elbow after infection cut off circulation. Both arms had been reimplanted but the left arm was later removed due to failed circulation. Surgeon Dr G Raney Williams said infection dominates outcomes, noting the yard barn setting and initial hope that the right arm would survive. The boy and his family had come to Oklahoma City for the operation in which the arms were reattached and both amputated.
