Little Rock merger push opposed as state overreach
An editorial from Ralph Patrick's North Little Rock Times attacks Little Rock University's push to merge with the University of Arkansas. It accuses Little Rock of back‑door financing, says the plan shifts deficits onto taxpayers, and recalls a prior Helena bridge attempt where the state refused a bailout. The piece argues fairness requires equal state treatment for the capital city.
