Livestock prices slip at Saint Louis market report
At the St Louis Livestock National Stockyards prices moved lower in hogs with some gains. Hogs 180 to 220 pounds mostly 13.25 to 13.09 for U S 1 and 2 grades, 230 to 260 pounds mixed grades around 12.00 to 12.78, and heavier hogs around 260 to 280 pounds near 12.75. Cattle trade seen steady to mixed with utilities and commercials 11.00 to 12.60, and prime cattle reaching 25.00 to 28.00 per hundredweight. Sows rose about 25, boars steady to higher. Overall volume around 14,500 hogs and 7,000 cattle reported.
