She was jailed again after saying she could not pay the fine while visiting friends in Texarkana. Judge Louis Josephs noted she planned to return to North Little Rock. Cincinnati completed a $3,500,000 two level streetcar viaduct for traffic.
The Columbia county grand jury indicted J B Hay Ra and Oscar Chandler in the Jimerson bank robbery with trial set for Monday. Alfred Pyle and twin brother of Albert Pyle face murder charges. Pyle to appear in Columbia circuit court Tuesday for a separate murder case. Other defendants include Tab Eads sentenced on liquor charge, Cecil Thornton and J T Hanson cleared on liquor counts, and George Alfred Crisp with J B Andrews suing Hitch Grovery Co for personal injury from a car wreck. Four negro defendants to grand jury in a hen sealing case.
CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo Four Arkansan men were convicted by a federal jury on three counts of conspiracy to sell and possess liquor and run illicit sale establishments. Harry Bailey of Blytheville and William Heminger Luther Ellison of Steele Mo were found guilty and will be sentenced Friday. Sheriff W P Robertson and other deputies had pleaded guilty earlier this week.
In Austin district court on Thursday the anti trust case brought by Attorney General James V. Allied against 15 major oil companies and two petroleum associations faced continued arguments. State counsel urged separate suits for each defendant, alleging a conspiracy to violate antitrust law and a common cause of action.
