Cochran Leads First Wave of Women Pilots to Europe

Jacqueline Cochran will head 25 American women pilots to ferry combat planes from British factories to air fields in Europe. They join the British Air Transport Auxiliary to free men for active service, with training in Canada before deployment to England.
