County Rep. David Burleson opposed the night law school unless the university’s budget remains intact. Van Dalsem and Taylor pressed bills for a centralized night law school and for a broader state tubercular sanatorium plan, with senators proposing facility shifts and bed-space expansion. The Senate rejected an incentive-factors amendment to the public school aid bill, while Van Dalsem continued to block House action on his measure.
