Comsat ahead of schedule faces regulatory limits
Comsat the five year old Communications Satellite Corp is ahead of its own schedule in building a global system but struggles with legal and regulatory constraints. It cannot spend much of its $200 million capital and is limited to one technology and one operational sphere. Comsat aims to acquire overseas carriers and become the US international communications conduit but faces antitrust hurdles and possible congressional action. FCC indecision blocks a domestic pilot satellite system and a plan for an Atlantic cable.

Burrows and tunneling near Khe Sanh suggest artillery could be made invulnerable by monsoon digging. Reports say Con Thien’s bombardment foreshadows tactics. US air resupply and a possible all out infantry attack are discussed as two opposing forecasts for the siege.
