Court to Hear Integration Case in 8th Circuit
LITTLE ROCK Ark Court to hear an integration plan case in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in St Louis on March 11. Attorneys for the school board and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People say opponents without a immediate integration aim failed to obstruct the plan. The district judge in Fort Smith upheld the board’s plan calling for high school integration after new high school construction, then junior high and finally grade schools, a process expected to take 40 to 12 years to complete.
