Free Institute of Business and Merchandising Opens Monday

Final arrangements for a three day Free Institute of Business and Merchandising will open Monday at Hotel Barlow. Henry W. Stanley, renowned economist, will present lectures on merchandising with follow up round table discussions. The Dallas Chamber of Commerce and Hope Star sponsor the free sessions for merchants, with Stanley visiting stores to study individual merchant needs.

Cotton Pool to Buy Back Cotton From Farmers

Senate Agriculture Committee votes 12 to 2 to limit the Domestic Allotment bill to wheat and cotton. The Smith bill would reduce 1933 cotton production by 3.5 million bales and create a 34.5 million bale pool controlled by the Cotton Board and Farm Board. Colder Overnight as Arkansas Sees Frigid Weekend

A 7 below zero reading was logged at Calico Rock Saturday morning with sub freezing temperatures across the western central and southern portions after Friday's snow.
