Weather forecast from the Associated Press covers Central, northeast and southeast areas. Expect cloudy to partly cloudy conditions this afternoon tonight and Thursday with cooler nights. Highs range from upper 30s to mid 40s in the west central sectors and mid to upper 40s toward the southeast. Lows mainly mid 20s to upper 20s, with colder nights in the northwest. Louisiana remains mostly cloudy this afternoon with continuing cold and lows in the 28 to 38 range and Thursday highs from 45 to 58 degrees.

Snow Delays Northwest Arkansas Travel and Power

Heavy snowfall blanketed northwest Arkansas Tuesday causing canceled airline service to Harrison and Fayetteville and delayed Greyhound and Continental Trailways routes. Fort Smith service remained, buses ran late on slick highways, and power was disrupted for a few Everton families due to a weather blamed transformer failure. The Weather Bureau warned of continued cold, cloudy conditions with highs near 32 to 40 and ended snow.

Senate Advances Bills On Property Reclaiming And Health Funding

Senate approved a measure allowing true owners of stolen property pawned elsewhere to recover belongings at no cost.
