Orchestra to Play Dance at Texarkana Armory

George Wald and his M. C. A. orchestra will play a dance in Texarkana Armory on Saturday night February 7. Wald is known in this territory for three engagements at the Washington Youree hotel in Shreveport and twice at the Plantation in Dallas, with other featured engagements at the Muehlebach Hotel in Kansas City, the Claridge Hotel in Memphis, and the Brown Hotel in Louisville Kentucky.

Mrs. W. M. Kelly Dies at 60 in Texas

An elderly woman, Mrs. W. M. Kelly, age 60 and originally from Hempstead county, died Wednesday afternoon at her Detroit Texas home. Funeral services and burial are scheduled Thursday in Texas after the family resided in Washington for several years.
