A lively crowd attended Fairview on Sunday for a musical performance by a local wrench er. The community notes steady school progress led by Mr and Mya with Henry Whitten as teacher, and Dick Stonks joined the Sunday bureau at Fairview.
The community talks of a new rial between here and Camden that should create many jobs. A weekend community tournament and old fiddlers contest drew nearly 2000 attendees from five counties and Sunday school enrollment neared 100. Josephine Parks celebrated her eighth birthday with a party directed by Miss Lena Leiper. A baby girl was born this morning at the Kendall Lemley home on East Division Street. RW Bidridge returned from a land deal at Little Rock involving timber land in a premier Hope location between the Jones well and Shawe Shaw well in Nevada County. J. Barlow spends today in town.
Temple Texas resident Mrs J W Crenshaw writes that Thedford s Black-Draught has long been a family remedy. She describes morning symptoms of coating tongue dull headache and biliousness and says taking Black-Draught restores energy and appetite, recommending it to others as a helpful tonic.
A letter dated October 21, 67b from Mrs. Fred Burringer of Lewistown Montana urges overweight women to try Kruschen Salts for a four week period. She claims a successful weight loss with a daily half teaspoon in hot water before breakfast and notes the price of a four week bottle as five cents. She advises cutting pastry and fat to aid rapid reduction.
