Fulton Bridge Engineer Hedrick Dies at 69 in Hot Springs
Ira Grant Hedrick 69, renowned designer of bridges across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, died at his Hot Springs home. He led projects in Arkansas cities including Lake Hamilton spans, Little Rock bridges, and Portland Oregon’s Burnside bridge. Hedrick studied at the University of Arkansas and McGill, partnered with Waddell and Hedrick, and was a life member of several fraternal and professional groups. Funeral set for Thursday at 2 p.m. with burial in Kansas City.
