Hope Food Plant to Process 6 Million Hens Yearly at New Facility
A $600 000 poultry plant near Hope Arkansas begins operations in the Proving Ground Industrial Area. The 23 500 square foot facility will employ about 85 workers at full production and can process six million hens per year. Hens are raised by local farms under Kroger contracts and shipped live for same day processing into canned products branded LADY HOPE or other private labels. The Corn Belt Production Complex supports Hempstead and Nevada counties with payrolls over 6 million annually and local farm input of milo and soybean meal.
