Miss Opal Green of Patmos spent the weekend with Beatrice Arermiby. Maggie Miller called on Mrs Huett of Patmos. Singing was well attended. Everyone come back Sunday night. Remember singing at Patmos each Friday night. Cobson Simmons Smith Gibson were Hope visitors Monday. Mrs D Bill of McNeil pleasant caller at Mrs John T Smith's Monday afternoon. Other Mullin and Curtis Dorman of Hodgen No. 1 present at John T Smith's last week. Our Christmas program was omitted due to bad weather. Mrs D Beil visiting Nora Odom this week. John P Odom spent Monday night with his son H D Odom.

Mary Putman visited daughter in Shower Springs and attended a program. Ray Cumbie of Hope was a dinner guest. Bart Ross undergoing operation at Josephine hospital. Cecil Woodul of Oak Grove visited J T Cumbie Jr.
Melrose No 2 prayer meeting and preaching drew a large audience with plans to return next Sunday night for prayer. Albert Coleman of Arden visits friends and relatives locally. Dr and Mrs C P Zimmerly and son Garnett visit Urbana and other Illinois towns. Mr and Mrs John Sparks and children of Boughton weekend with kin, escorted home by Miss Dorothy Sparks. Willard Jones of Hope visits Mr and Mrs C J Ogles, as Fletcher Eisterling and children visit A R Newberry.
Reverend Arnold preached both Sunday services as the new Methodist pastor. Families Yarbry, Montgomery, and McCain shared visits. Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Hosky and Ola Mae, Dora, and Ardin called. W L McDougald traveled to Blevins for evening preaching by John W Slater. All Thompson and family from Blevins visited Husky.
Sunday night program by Mr. and Mrs. Fred McBay drew a large audience. Several residents, including Mrs. Annie Vickers and Mrs. Callie McHay, shared visits this week. Various local spinouts mention moves between homes as families and friends gathered and hosted one another.

Visitors include Hobson Aeron from Alabama and Patmos residents Bob Garner family. Kansas City relatives visit Mass and Darwin families for holidays. New Year wishes extended to Star readers and staff.
New Liberty Health remains fairly good though Winnie Crider has a cold. Tomm y Glanton visited Joe Hamilton last Friday. Frequent rain has left roads almost impassable. Mrs Lonard Langaton gave a heavy canning demonstration recently attended by Mrs Bertie Langston and son Milton, Mr and Mrs Bernice Munn and Mrs Ady Hamilton. A W Hamilton and son Carl tied cotton to the gin Monday. Bill Galloway of Sutton spent Saturday night with James Hamilton.
