More than 240 miners voted to end a three day strike at the underground headquarters of the North American Air Defense Command. The walkout involved excavation work in a mountain southwest of Colorado Springs. Proposals to end the strike were approved by the union and Utah Construction officials. A spokesman said the 240 strikers would return to work immediately if the settlement is approved. Laborers Local 378 members walked off Wednesday over alleged unjust dismissal for safety rule violations.
